SABSA formed in 1976 as an affiliated body of South Australian Baseball League with the objectives of:
- promoting the art of baseball scoring
- encouraging, educating and representing scorers associated with SABL
- co-operating with and assisting SABL to maintain uniform interpretations of the rules of baseball scoring.
The association meets at SABL headquarters on the 2nd Wednesday of every 2nd month
(February, April, June, August, October, December).
Individual annual membership fee is $5, but a Club Scorers Membership ($30 annual fee) is available to clubs which will register all their club scorers with SABSA entitling them to attend all association meetings and scoring clinics, as well as obtain scoring workbooks and information on scoring issues, rulings and techniques.
